The cherry blossoms are just starting to bloom. Just beyond this magnolia tree you can just see a few splashes of pink where new blossoms have opened. The Capital Building is a beautiful building to photograph. From every angle the architecture and landscaping make for great shots.

Mounted cop guarding the reflected puddle by the Lincoln Monument in Washington DC.
After he yelled at me to get out of the half dry pool, he proceeded to climb up the 3 flights of stairs to the monument. Eat that segway mounted geek! For those not living in the national capital, the DC police force has been cutting back on the mounted units in favor of Segway equipped squads. I have to say that cops on hoofs are a lot more intimidating to the averyage joe.
