The Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes both fired their coaches Monday morning. Bruce Boudreau was let go after four seasons in Washington, Paul Maurice was fired for the second time in Carolina. (Nov. 28)

October 10, 2011 – Verizon Center, Washington, DC – Washington Capitals vs. Tampa Bay Lightning. This game went into overtime followed by a shootout (see separate video). The Caps won by a final score of 6 to 5. ***Note that credits for the second goal were changed from Hendricks to Wideman with assists by Halpern and Perreault.
